How our calculators are built
Each calculator implements a documented, standard formula — the same ones used by banks, health organizations, and textbooks. We show the formula on every page so you can verify the math yourself, and every tool is tested against known values before publishing.
- Finance: standard EMI, compound/simple interest, and mortgage (PITI) formulas.
- Health: WHO/CDC BMI categories, the Mifflin-St Jeor equation for calories, and the US Navy body-fat method.
- Math & everyday: exact calendar arithmetic for dates, standard unit definitions, and cryptographically secure randomness for passwords.
